Pencil Horse Drawings

I’m going to start by saying that I assume you have your pencils, drawing paper and erasers ready, so I’m going to skip all that and plunge right in to show you how you can sketch your horse in just a few minutes.
Yes, I did say in just a few minutes. In fact, it’s important that we complete the sketch as quickly as we can. Why is that so? That’s because unlike a still object (as in drawing still life), live horses move around.
It’s just like trying to draw a baby. Since a baby can’t keep still, and you can’t tell it to keep still, the best time to draw a baby is when it’s asleep.
But we don’t want to draw a sleeping horse do we? We want to draw a real live, energetic and lively horse! And to capture that in your sketch, there’s no better way than to use quick pencil strokes to capture the life, energy and movement of the horses.
There are three specific areas that you need to pay special attention to though. The first area is the eyes, the second is the rippling muscles, and the third (which is the most important) is the hair on the horse.
The eyes of a horse is what makes your sketch comes to life. You start by drawing the body and then add the eyes and the drawing immediately comes to life! Don’t believe me? Try it for yourself!
Secondly, you will have to capture the rippling muscles of the horse to make it look real. Horses are powerful and magnificent looking creatures. The key is to draw them lean and fit. After all, horses do exercise a lot.
And when they prance, trot or gallop, their magnificent mane of hair flows behind them. The mane and the tail makes up a large part of your drawing, so you seriously need to capture the beauty of the flowing hair.
If you can capture these three elements, then I give you an A grade. Now go show off your great looking horse or pony to the whole world!

Roses is a Spanish tourist resort in the region of Catalan on the coast of the Costa Brava. It is nearly thirty kilometers from the border with France. Roses is placed between Cap de Creus and the Montgre Mountain. This city was interesting to the Greeks in the third century BC, so they made the city of Rhode. Today the city has numerous remains of the Greeks and Romans who lived there in the eleventh century. It is also a very attractive tourist destination since it abounds in restaurants, tapas bars and cafes.
Historical sites
Roses or Rhode was founded in 776 BC by the Greeks. However, the remains of Greek and Roman civilization are preserved in the Citadel or the Ciudadela, which has the shape of a star. This fortress was reconstructed in the sixteenth century and there is also Trinitat Castle from that period. In the old town, you can find numerous restaurants and bars.
Above all, there is a Roses lighthouse which is one of many interesting landscapes to visit.
Beaches
However, it’s beautiful and clean beaches are the biggest attraction for tourists. There are many beaches with charming coves. Moreover, many of them have received the Blue flag for tidiness and safety.
Platjas de Roses is a city beach which is equipped with umbrellas, chairs and showers.
It consists of Nova, Rastrell and Salatar beach. Furthermore, next to the Salatar beach is placed Platja de Santa Margarida. It offers various activities for children and lovers of water sports.
At last, you can enjoy the untouchable coves and their nature. Some of them are Cala Jòncols, Cala Calitjas, La Pelosa, Canadell, etc.
There is also Aqua Brava Water Park where you can spend a day with your child.
Since Cap de Creus is a protected natural reserve, there are many Scuba divers. However, you can also go for fishing or sailing. Above all, you can rent water ski or pedal.
Tourist Attractions
Although Roses offers many historical sites and water sports, you can also take part in other sports such as golf or karting. However, if you prefer nature, then you should visit the natural resort Cap de Creus and the Emporada.
The Emporada is protected due to its marshlands, dunes and lakes. However, there is a center for animals, which helps Barcelona’s zoo and bird observatory. The Emporada is a home for wildlife.
Just eighteen kilometers from Roses is the city of Figures, which houses the famous Salvador Dali‘s museum with some of his well known art works.
At last, since Roses is close to Barcelona, you should visit it too.

High Fashion Photography – The Creation of Desire

In high fashion photography, the aim is simple – to create desire. This is achievable because the photographer has complete control over the environment and is free to choose what to include or exclude.
Fashion photography began in 1913 with Adolphe de Meyer who made experimental photographs using a soft-focus lens and backlighting.
Next came Edward Steichen who started photographing fashion models in 1911. He used simple props combined with classical poses. Steichen’s photos replaced the illustrations used by fashion magazines since 1892.
George Hoyningen-Huene was another famous photographer from this era. He worked with Coco Chanel, Greta Garbo, Salvador Dali, Jean Cocteau, Marlene Dietrich and Kurt Weill.
Cecil Beaton and Horst Paul Horst were next on the scene. Beaton’s images were influenced by his theatre designs while Horst’s leaned towards the surreal.
During World War II, the fashion photography industry in Europe suffered due to lack of materials and fashion photography was considered frivolous. When Hitler invaded Paris, photographers such as Horst fled to America where the industry was unaffected.
After the War, the American photographer Lillian Bassman (born 1917) created a new aesthetic in black and white fashion photography with pictures that were atmospheric and moody, mostly in black and white.
She was rediscovered in the 1990s when a bag containing hundreds of her photographs was discovered, photographs which she had thrown out 20 years prior. Today she has been rediscovered and given the recognition she rightly deserves as a top fashion photographer.
In the 1940s and 1950s Alex Liberman influenced a whole generation of photographers, including Diane Arbus, Bruce Davidson, Robert Frank, Robert Klein and Lisette Model. Irving Penn is another fashion photographer from this era, whose compositions were daringly simple, often isolating his subjects from all props or backgrounds to create a feeling of emotional detachment.
1960s fashion photography was highly experimental and photographers such as Bob Richardson took their inspiration from film directors particularly with respect to camera angle and lighting. Richard Avedon is well-known particularly for his work with Twiggy, the great icon of fashion of the 1960s. Meanwhile, Diane Arbus worked for Harper’s Bazaar in 1962 on a series of photographs of children fashions and also for the New York Times in 1967, 1968 and 1970. David Bailey is another well-known 60s fashion photographer who photographed actors, musicians and royalty as well as fashion models. He captured, and helped to create, the Swinging London of the 1960s
In the 1970s, Helmut Newton rose to fame along with Guy Bourdin who created fashion photographs with aggression and violence contained within them.
In the 1990s high fashion photography was dominated by photographers such as Collier Schorr and Glen Luchford. David Lachapelle, Jurgen Teller and Wolfgang Tillmans are perhaps the most influential photographers of this era. Why Montmatre Has Always Been a High Spot For Paris

Montmartre has always been a high spot for Paris, physically and artistically. Located in the northern 18th arrondissement, the beautiful Saint Pierre de Montmartre church majestically sits atop the namesake hill that rises to 130 meters in elevation. Even better known is another church that graces the hill, the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Coeur. The view including this beautiful church is seen in a myriad of famous photographs and paintings and is considered a landmark for the entire Parisian metropolitan area. It has been featured in many films and is home to a vast community of artists. Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, and Modigliani all found inspiration from this historically important community.
It is claimed that the church of Saint Pierre de Montmartre is where the famous Jesuit order of priests originated. Visiting tourists usually consider a tour of Montmartre a “must see” event, and many enjoy booking their holiday stays at nearby Paris Hotels and other accommodation convenient to the area. Hotels in Paris are quick to use photos of the area in their welcoming packages and advertising to attract visitors.
One of the most famous views associated with the city is the street leading up to the Sacré Coeur and when set against clear blue Parisian skies, it is easy to understand why this setting is a favorite subject of local artists. Surprisingly, building only began in 1876 and was completed as late as 1912. The area quickly attracted artists and was known for almost scandalous nightclub entertainment, including the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret. Today artists regularly set up their easels down the street from the church to create their artistic visions.
Aside from the history of this area and the excitement of the artist community and nightlife, visitors on holiday come to enjoy a broad panoramic view of Paris from the heights of an area that rises above the metropolitan expanse, a position that allowed Prussian artillery to bombard the city below during the Seige of Paris in 1870. Hotels in Paris will be able recommend several activities to visitors including a ride on the funicular railway — the Funiculaire de Montmartre — and a trip to the small wine producing vineyard in the Rue Saint-Vincent.
Paris Hotels of note in the area include Regyn’s Hotel Montmartre and the Hotel De Flore. Other accommodation can be found at Montmartre residences and bed and breakfast establishments.

My Favorite Hitchcock Movie

Alfred Hitchcock is widely regarded as a director’s director, he had an eye for detail, a deep understanding of human nature, and had a flair for the twist in the tale which in the ultimate analysis makes a suspense movie a suspense movie. His obsession with perfection in every scene shot under his direction was legendary. It is rightly said that all his movies are masterpieces and that it would be extremely difficult to grade his movies on basis of one or two factors only. However, there are masterpieces and masterpieces, further, every movie buff and every lay viewer has his favorite movie.
Although it is generally held view that Vertigo is the Hitchcock Magnum Opus, my vote for the greatest Hitchcock movie goes to Spellbound. The reasons for choosing Spellbound over Vertigo are too numerous, however I would like to record the following salient features which in my humble opinion makes it the best Hitchcock movie:
1. The Nordic beauty Ingrid Bergman appears in a very unusual role as a psychiatrist, she looks as attractive wearing spectacles than other lesser actresses look without spectacles.
2. Handsome hunk Gregory Peck is also in an equally unusual role as an amnesiac doctor.
3. The flowering of the romance between the amnesiac patient and the psychiatrist is depicted in the most elegant fashion.
4. The skiing scene in the movie is perhaps one of the first such scenes to be shown on the silver screen, and needless to add, is breathtaking.
5. The surrealistic interventions at the instance of Salvador Dali make it stand heads and shoulders above any other suspense movie.
6. The scene where Ingrid Bergman melts into the arms of Gregory Peck repeating ” It’s nothing to do with love, nothing at all”, is my favorite romantic scene from a movie.
7. The twist in the tale provided at the end in trademark Hitchcock fashion, is really the fitting climax of the movie.
Overall, I rate it as the best and greatest Hitchcock movie for its seductive blending of romance, suspense and psychiatry.

Positive A.D.D. Traits:
1. Creativity – They are very creative. They need an outlet to be creative. They think outside the box. They brainstorm, and find creative solutions to problems. Because of their flexible way of thinking about things, they tend to be more open minded, independent, and ready to improvise.
2. Enthusiasm and spontaneity – They are free spirits with lively minds, qualities that make for good company and stimulating conversation. Their enthusiasm and spontaneous approach to life can be infectious.
3. A quick mind – They have the ability to think on their fee, quickly absorb new information, as long as it is interesting. They multitask with ease. Their rapid fire minds thrive on stimulation. They adapt well to change and are great in a crisis.
4. High energy level – They have lots of energy. When their attention is captured by something that interest them, they can have virtually unlimited stamina and drive.
5. Hyperfocus – They are able to focus for long periods of time on tasks or projects that they find interesting. This single minded ability to hyperfocus can lead to significant accomplishments, discoveries, and creative breakthroughs.
